We have had some inquiries lately as to the cost of attending the ABC Gathering. We have a simple admission of $5 per person and $20 for a car load! Remember, proceeds to our 4 local charities!

The ABC Gathering is pleased to announce that rides will be offered in the backseat of the Havard and the Fleet Canuck during the event on July 31st.

In addition both aircraft will also be offering rides the day prior to the Gathering, on Saturday July 30th from approximately 1pm to 5pm.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride in the famous North American Harvard trainer with the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association (CHAA) the cost of this backseat ride also gets you a one year membership with CHAA!

The Fleet Canuck is a Canadian designed and built two seat aircraft which will be attending the Gathering courtesy of the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation.

Get the word out to friends and family about these opportunities!

FOOD!

We have had some inquiries about food at our event. The Kincardine Lions Club is facilitating the food during the event, this will include BBQ burgers and hot dogs, drinks as well as a french fry truck and Tim Hortons will have product on site as well!

BREAKING NEWS!

The ABC Gathering has announced the recipients of our proceeds from this years event. As in 2009 we will be donating a portion of our proceeds to the following!

• Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kincardine
• Community Living Kincardine and District
• Cozy Cat Kennel

The ABC Gathering is proud to support all of these important local initiatives!

Here is the latest lineup of aircraft attending the 2011 Kincardine ABC Gathering.  From the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, the Consolidated PBY "Canso" will be attending along with the Fairchild "Cornell".  The "Canso was a huge hit with attendees during the 2009 Gathering and we look forward to its return.  The "Cornell" last attended the Gathering in 2008 and we welcome back this "yellow bird" again in 2011. The Cornell, is one of a handful of "yellow birds" that were used in the British Commonwealth Air Training Program.  Along with the Cornell will be two Harvards from the Canadian Havard Aircraft Association. One of the Harvards will be flying paid rides during the event, so don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!

Added to our show lineup are the two North American T-28 Trojans from the Welland area. As well we will have the de Havilland Tiger Moth and the Fleet Canuck from Edenvale Classics attending ABC as well!

BREAKING NEWS...We just confirmed the attendance of a surprise jet aircraft for the ABC Gathering...the BAC Strikemaster will be attending, see the link below for more details on this aircraft!

We have been informed that it is unlikely that the Strikemaster will be able to attend the Gathering, however we filled the gap as it were, and will have the Great War Flying Museum attend with both the Fokker Dr1 and the Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a!

For more details on these aircraft click on the links below.

It has been confirmed that Ducati will once again be attending the 2011 ABC Gathering and we are still hopeful that a ride program can be arranged in conjunction with the Gathering. For those unfamiliar with what a Ride Day consists of, its simple. You sign up to ride a Ducati model of your choice, assuming you have a valid motorcycle licence and the proper gear, helmet, boots and jacket. The planned ride will take riders through the gorgeous lakeside route with straightaways and curves and back to the Kincardine Airport. We hope to be showcasing the new Ducati Diavel at the event as well.

UPDATE, the ABC Gathering is pleased to welcome the Kinetic Knights Robotics team to the Gathering! Here are some details on them.

Team 781, the Kinetic Knights is a FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC®) team run by students from Kincardine, Ontario. The team was formed during the 2001-2002 season with generous help from Bruce Power and Power Workers' Union Training Inc. They went to elementary schools within a 20KM radius to assist children of ages 9 to 14 with various jobs like building, designing, and programming their robots built out of Lego bricks. Many of those elementary students who participated in FLL® later became members of Team 781

NEW UPDATE! Rogers Television has announced it will be on location during the ABC Gathering to shoot and produced a half hour television program about the ABC Gathering! Thanks Rogers Kincardine!
